Hello and Welcome

My photo
Martin Maden
I am a Papua New Guinean film maker and the publisher of this blog. "Tok Piksa" is a common expression meaning, a parable or an illustration in Tok Pisin, one of three official languages of Papua New Guinea. It also means a discussion about perceptions, images and imagery, applicable to the abstract, the imagination, the fine arts, photography or cinema. This allows for a wide range of frank and vivid social and cultural commentary, on Papua New Guinea, its languages, its arts and culture. My intention is to provide a Melanesian view and cultural perspective on local and international events and to engage in some reflection upon issues of concern. All that said, let's not forget to stop and laugh at ourselves from time to time. So do contribute and spread the good vibes.
